Source and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and technical details.
Evaluate supplier quotations to determine cost-effectiveness and quality compliance.
Negotiate with vendors to secure the best possible pricing and terms.
Identify potential project risks and incorporate contingencies into estimates.
Conduct value engineering assessments to optimize cost and efficiency without compromising quality.
Monitor market trends, cost fluctuations, and new technologies in the industry.
Maintain an organized database of historical cost records for future reference.
Prepare cost reports and updates for senior management.
Assist in contract negotiations and post-project cost evaluations.
Manage Estimations; after estimations have been created, estimation engineers edit and update the estimation database. Estimation engineers will peer review the Estimate to Complete in the Monthly Cost Report.
