Job Description
PURPOSE
To assist and support the Laboratory Manager in the testing of samples and products to maintain good quality of products according to set standards.
THE JOB
- To Label and receive samples for laboratory analysis.
- To carry out testing of wheat flour samples for content of protein, moisture, ash, maltose and ascorbic acids, particle size and speck count in semolina and pasta products.
- Perform local content analysis (Sorghum flour, Maize flour and Cassava Flour).
- To carry out sanitation work on the Laboratory equipment and environment.
- Prepare certificate of analysis for all products for customers.
- Maintaining Laboratory records and reports.
- Ensure the accurate weighing of raw materials.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the manager.
THE PERSON MUST
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to pay good attention to detail.
- Be assertive and confident.
- Be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.
EXPERIENCE
- 2 Years minimum experience in a similar role.
