PURPOSE

To assist and support the Laboratory Manager in the testing of samples and products to maintain good quality of products according to set standards.

THE JOB

• To Label and receive samples for laboratory analysis.


• To carry out testing of wheat flour samples for content of protein, moisture, ash, maltose and ascorbic acids, particle size and speck count in semolina and pasta products.


• Perform local content analysis (Sorghum flour, Maize flour and Cassava Flour).


• To carry out sanitation work on the Laboratory equipment and environment.


• Prepare certificate of analysis for all products for customers.


• Maintaining Laboratory records and reports.


• Ensure the accurate weighing of raw materials.


• Perform any other duties assigned by the manager.

THE PERSON MUST

• Possess good written and verbal communication skills.


• Be able to pay good attention to detail.


• Be assertive and confident.


• Be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

QUALIFICATION

• 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.

EXPERIENCE

• 2 Years minimum experience in a similar role.
