Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team.


• The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of garment construction, including pattern drafting, corset making, and draping, as well as excellent design skills and a passion for creating innovative and stylish clothing.


• This role requires a blend of artistic vision, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develop original designs for collections, considering current trends, brand aesthetics, and target market.


• Create sketches, illustrations, and mood boards to communicate design concepts.


• Construct patterns, including flat pattern drafting and draping techniques.


• Develop and refine corset making skills, ensuring proper fit and structure.


• Select fabrics, trims, and other materials.


• Oversee the sample-making process, collaborating with sample makers to ensure accurate execution of designs.


• Conduct fit sessions and make necessary alterations to garments.


• Stay up-to-date on the latest fashion trends, techniques, and materials.


• Manage design projects from concept to completion, adhering to deadlines and budgets.


• Collaborate with other team members, including pattern makers, sample makers, and marketing.


• Present design concepts and collections to internal teams and clients.


• Manage and mentor junior design team members.


• Problem-solve design and production challenges effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.


• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and technical abilities.


• Demonstrable expertise in pattern drafting, corset making, and draping techniques.


• Proficiency in garment construction and sewing.


• Strong understanding of fabric properties and selection.


• Excellent sketching and illustration skills.


• Ability to translate design concepts into finished garments.


• Knowledge of current fashion trends and market demands.
