Responsibilities

Technical Design and Engineering:

• Develop detailed technical designs and specifications for complex engineering projects


• Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create accurate project drawings


• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure design feasibility


• Incorporate innovative solutions to optimize project performance and efficiency.

Commercial Aspects:

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for proposed designs


• Conduct value engineering to balance cost-effectiveness with technical requirements


• Assist in developing project proposals and tender documents


• Participate in contract negotiations, providing technical expertise to support commercial decisions.

Procurement Support:

• Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and select appropriate materials, equipment, and vendors


• Develop technical specifications for procurement packages


• Evaluate supplier proposals and provide recommendations based on technical and commercial factors.

Project Execution Support:

• Provide technical guidance and support during the construction and commissioning phases


• Coordinate with construction teams to resolve on-site technical issues


• Manage design changes and assess their impact on project schedule and budget.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential technical and commercial risks in project designs


• Develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks


• Collaborate with project managers to integrate risk management into overall project planning.

Interdisciplinary Coordination:

• Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., structural, electrical, mechanical) to ensure design integration


• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and schedulers to align design activities with project timelines and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.


• 2 - 4years experience.


• High Analytical, creative and cognitive ability.


• Good handle of CAD & CAE software (AutoCAD 3D,AutoCAD Advance Steel,AME Tank,SolidWorks,PipeFlow,Prota, ANSYS, Aspen HYSYS)


• Good handle of Microsoft Excel,Word.Powerpoint and Micrososoft Project


• Good communication skill.
