Job Summary
- The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of personnel to various locations.
- This role requires adherence to road safety regulations, company policies, and scheduled delivery timelines to ensure smooth operations.
- The driver also plays a crucial role in maintaining the vehicle’s condition, conducting routine inspections, and reporting any mechanical issues for timely repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- This includes transporting employees, goods, and supplies to designated locations while ensuring punctuality and safety.
- The driver must also perform routine vehicle maintenance checks, including monitoring fuel levels, tire pressure, and engine performance.
- Additionally, they are responsible for keeping accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and trip logs, while complying with company protocols regarding route planning and delivery schedules.
- In some cases, the driver may assist with loading and unloading cargo to ensure proper handling and delivery.
Education, Skills & Experience Requirements
- Education: A minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent. Additional training in defensive driving or a valid driver’s license is required.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Ability to navigate different routes, especially in rural or farm areas. Good time management, communication, and basic vehicle maintenance skills.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of professional driving experience, preferably in corporate and logistics.
