Duties and Responsibilities




  • Monitor work processes and procedures to identify unsafe practices or breach of safety regulations at the site.

  • Facilitate and schedule repairs of unsafe or damaged equipment.

  • Organize Pep talk/trainings to educate company staff and contractors on necessary safety principles.

  • Liaise with the Production Manager & Project manager of the company to determine operations.

  • Carries out job hazard analysis before the start of a project.

  • Prepares and issues a JSA/JHA and work permits.

  • In-charge of incident/accident investigations and reporting.

  • Responsible for maintaining a hazard free environment.

  • Develop and implement safety, procedures, and policies for production operations.

  • Oversee the placement and setup of safety signs to warn of potential hazard.

  • Prepare and present to company management periodic report of safety operations.

  • Collaborate with law enforcement agents and investigators to address cases of workplace accident.

  • Proffer solutions on safety topics such as proper waste disposal, fire regulations, and noise pollution.

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify work areas with high risk of operational hazard

  • Oversee company waste disposal methods to ensure they comply with safe disposal procedures.

  • Review company operational processes to ensure they are in line with external safety legislations.



Requirements / Skills




  • Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree qualification with 3 - 5 years' work experience.

  • Good communication (sending daily situations reports via WhatsApp's) and maintaining a good interpersonal relationship with all those working with the company.

  • Vast knowledge of safety procedures in the Construction and fabrication industry.

  • Sound human relation and planning processes

  • Relevant Engineering or Manufacturing health, safety and environment experience.

  • Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis experience

  • Good understanding/experience of safety procedural standards.

  • Computer literacy. Drive and Initiative.
