Location: Ikeja, Lagos


Summary:


This role requires the maintenance of students’ records. Furthermore, it involves communication with both prospective and incumbent parents through various communication media such as email, telephone and so on. An ideal candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong organisational skills

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assist students who are transitioning into higher education regarding their options

  • Ensure that student records are organised effectively. This includes the maintenance and continuous update of student records such as student status progression, attendance, and other miscellaneous things.

  • Perform clerical activities such as generating academic transcripts and other official student documents on request.

  • Recommend and implement innovative database solutions that can improve student record keeping

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term objectives, policies, and operations procedures for admissions. Additionally, recommend amendments or correction to admissions policies.

  • Communicate effectively with prospective parents, this includes signposting and providing relevant information about the school.

  • Possess detailed knowledge about the schools ‘admissions process and admissions policy.

  • Respond promptly to emails or divert emails to the relevant personnel.

  • Oversee all operations related to this position; telephone answering, live chat box correspondence and miscellaneous tasks related to communications


Qualification/Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • At least 3-5 years as an Admissions Counsellor/Registrar in a similar role

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Proficient in active listening

  • Strong computer literacy specifically in Excel and database management skills.

  • Great interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

  • Ability to effectively advise and provide guidance to student making important decisions
