About the Role




  • The Orthopedic Surgeon will be responsible for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

  • This includes performing a wide range of orthopaedic procedures, from minimally invasive arthroscopy to complex joint replacements.



Responsibilities:




  • Evaluate patients' medical history, perform physical examinations, and order and interpret diagnostic tests.

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of orthopaedic conditions, including fractures, dislocations, arthritis, sports injuries, and congenital deformities.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical options.

  • Perform orthopaedic surgeries with precision and expertise.

  • Provide pre-and post-operative care to patients.

  • Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and recovery process.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., anesthesiologists, nurses, physical therapists) to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.



Qualifications




  • Medical Degree

  • Completion of a residency in Orthopedic Surgery.

  • Medical license in Nigeria.

  • Demonstrated clinical competence in orthopaedic surgery.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience with minimally invasive surgical techniques.

  • Research experience or publications.

  • Teaching experience.
