Job Description




  • Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to manage the maintenance and repair of our hotel's facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool systems.

  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in facilities management, strong technical knowledge, and excellent leadership skills.



Duties and Responsibilities




  • Manage and supervise maintenance staff.

  • Oversee daily maintenance

  • Manage and supervise maintenance staff.

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to:

  • Air Conditioning (AC) and Chiller systems.

  • Electrical systems (including generators and UPS).

  • Pool systems (filtration, heating, and chemical balance).

  • Plumbing and water treatment systems.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs.

  • Develop and implement maintenance budgets and cost-control measures.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies, and procedures.



Requirements

Desirable Qualifications:




  • Certification in Hospitality Management (e.g., CHA, CHT).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a hospitality environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool systems.

  • Experience with facilities management software.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

  • Certification in maintenance management or related field (e.g., COREN).



Education, Experience and Competencies Required:




  • Minimum 5 years cognate experience

  • Proven track record of success in luxury hospitality.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Protel).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management or related field.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Fully computer literate

  • Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload

  • Experience in the hospitality environment will be an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Self-motivated with strong self-discipline, integrity and honesty.
