Job Summary




  • We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Frontend Developer Instructor to teach visually impaired individuals the fundamentals and advanced techniques of frontend development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in frontend technologies and a strong understanding of accessibility principles. By using adaptive teaching methods and accessible resources, you will help students gain the skills needed to thrive in web development.



Responsibilities




  • Develop and deliver an accessible front-end development curriculum, including topics such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and responsive design.

  • Create and adapt course materials to ensure compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies.

  • Teach students about web accessibility (e.g., WCAG standards) to build inclusive web applications.

  • Utilize interactive and accessible teaching methods to engage visually impaired learners effectively.

  • Provide personalized guidance and feedback to students to help them understand concepts and complete projects.

  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

  • Stay informed on the latest trends in front-end development and accessibility tools.



Required Qualifications




  • The candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 2 - 6 years work experience.

  • Strong proficiency in frontend development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).

  • Knowledge of web accessibility principles, standards (e.g., WCAG), and assistive technologies like screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver).

  • Experience teaching or mentoring, especially individuals with disabilities.

  • Familiarity with tools and resources designed for visually impaired learners, such as screen-reader-friendly IDEs and code editors.

  • Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability in teaching diverse learners.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience creating or contributing to accessible web applications.

  • Knowledge of tools like Lighthouse, Axe, or WAVE for accessibility testing.

  • Certification in teaching, training, or frontend development.

  • Background in adaptive technologies or inclusive education.
