Develop and implement process control systems, including the design of control strategies, selection of sensors and actuators, and programming of control algorithms.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to process control systems, including equipment failures, software bugs, and communication errors.
Optimize process control systems to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel on the use of process control systems.
Keep abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies related to process control systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
At least 20 years of experience in process control engineering, with a focus on the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems
Certifications from relevant professional bodies/institute is a must
Strong knowledge of control theory, including PID control, feedback control, and advanced control techniques
Experience with process instrumentation, including sensors, transmitters, and control valves
Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
COREN certification is an added advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team
Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards related to process control systems.
