Job Summary




  • The Superintendent Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • This role ensures adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN) guidelines while managing inventory, coordinating with production teams, and maintaining proper documentation for quality assurance.



Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:




  • Ensure the warehouse operates in full compliance with PCN, NAFDAC, and GMP regulations.

  • Implement and maintain proper storage conditions for pharmaceutical products to ensure quality and efficacy.

  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for regulatory audits and inspections.



Inventory & Warehouse Management:




  • Oversee inventory control to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.

  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of raw materials and finished products.

  • Monitor storage conditions, including temperature and humidity control, to maintain product integrity.



Operational Coordination:




  • Work closely with production, procurement, and distribution teams to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

  • Supervise warehouse staff and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in inventory records.



Health, Safety & Risk Management:




  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of pharmaceutical products.

  • Implement safety protocols to minimize risks in warehouse operations.

  • Conduct periodic training for warehouse staff on compliance, safety, and best practices.



Required Skills / Experience




  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree with a valid PCN license.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and warehousing.

  • Strong knowledge of GMP, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience in warehouse operations, including handling of raw materials and finished products.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
