Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Officer to manage and oversee litigation matters for our organization.


• The ideal candidate must have over 8 years of post-call experience with a strong background in dispute resolution, legal advisory, and court procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and manage the company’s litigation portfolio, including civil and commercial disputes.


• Represent the organization in legal proceedings, negotiations, and settlements.


• Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and contracts.


• Provide strategic legal advice to management on litigation risks and compliance.


• Liaise with external counsel, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.


• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and judicial precedents.


• Develop and implement litigation strategies to protect the company’s interests.


• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all legal matters.

Requirements

• LL.B and BL (Barrister at Law) qualification is mandatory.


• Minimum of 8 years post-call experience, with a strong focus on litigation.


• Extensive experience in court representation, legal drafting, and case management.


• Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws, judicial processes, and dispute resolution mechanisms.


• Excellent research, negotiation, and advocacy skills.


• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure legal matters.
