Job Description
A reputable hospital in Ibadan is seeking a skilled and dedicated Imaging Technician to join our team. As an Imaging Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, and ultrasounds. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely.
- Perform imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.
- Position patients accurately to obtain the best quality images.
- Evaluate images for clarity and quality, making necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging files, ensuring confidentiality.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in imaging technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Imaging Technician.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging preferred.
- Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment and understanding of imaging techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
