Job Description



A reputable hospital in Ibadan is seeking a skilled and dedicated Imaging Technician to join our team. As an Imaging Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, and ultrasounds. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and optimal patient care.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely.

  • Perform imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols.

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.

  • Position patients accurately to obtain the best quality images.

  • Evaluate images for clarity and quality, making necessary adjustments.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging files, ensuring confidentiality.

  • Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself.

  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in imaging technology and techniques.



Qualifications:




  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Imaging Technician.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging preferred.

  • Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment and understanding of imaging techniques.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
