Summary




  • MoC is seeking a Competitions Coordinator to contribute to the organizing, planning, and execution of its athletics competitions nationwide. 

  • This role involves coordinating all event logistics, managing budgets, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth running of competitions from inception to completion.



Responsibilities




  • Event Planning and Execution: Develop event plans, timelines, and detailed checklists for athletics competitions. Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, athlete registration, vendor sourcing, transportation, accommodations, and catering.

  • Budget Management: Create and manage competition budgets. Monitor expenses to ensure events stay within budget constraints.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all competition-related inquiries. Liaise with athletes, coaches, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

  • Promotion and Marketing: Collaborate with relevant teams to promote competitions. Create and distribute promotional materials, manage social media campaigns, and coordinate press releases.

  • On-site Management: Oversee event setup, competition execution, and teardown. Ensure all activities comply with athletics regulations and health and safety standards.

  • Feedback and Reporting: Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders. Prepare post-competition reports to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.



Requirements




  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline

  • 2 - 3 years relevant experience in sports, media or entertainment industries; experience in sports event management would be an advantage.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in sports competitions.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Proven track record utilizing skills in such areas as: fostering teamwork, problem solving, managing change, conflict resolution, initiative, and flexibility.
