Job Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Chinese Translator to join our team on a full time onsitejob arrangement. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both Chinese and English, with the ability to accurately translate and interpret in both languages. The role requires someone who can hear, speak and translate Chinese language.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate oral and written translations from Chinese to English and vice versa.


• Interpret spoken communication at various occasions, on-site interactions between Chinese and non-Chinese speaking staff.


• Facilitate communication between the security team and Chinese management.


• Translate security documents, patrol reports and emergency plans.


• Assist in managing security patrol and ensure timely communication of emergencies


• Translate production documents, meeting contents and technical training materials.


• Act as a cultural bridge between Chinese and Nigerians, facilitating clear communication and mutual understanding.

Requirements

• Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in a mining, business or technical environment.


• Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.


• Fluency in speaking and hearing of hausa is a plus


• Experience studying or working in China is a plus


• Should be responsible and have good management skill.
