Our client is a leading trading company based in Nigeria that specializes in the exportation of high-quality cocoa beans and cashew. They are seeking a highly skilled IT OPERATIONS & SECURITY MANAGER to join their team.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of all IT systems, including cloud infrastructure (Microsoft 365), SaaS applications, cloud backups, and the IT ticketing system. Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of these systems.


• Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies and procedures. Manage security tools and services. Proactively identify and mitigate security risks and respond effectively to security incidents. Champion a culture of security awareness within the organization.


• Manage and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Delegate tasks effectively and provide opportunities for professional development.


• Lead and contribute to IT projects, including the implementation of new systems and tools, and the development of in-house solutions.


• Manage relationships with key IT vendors, OEMs, SaaS providers, and cybersecurity partners. Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.


• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including data protection laws. Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies. Work closely with the Data Protection Officer.


• Contribute to the development of the overall IT strategy, aligning IT initiatives with business goals. Play a key role in achieving strategic objectives. Drive the automation of business operations through the effective use of innovative tools and explore new technologies to improve productivity and efficiency.


• Manage incident response plans and oversee disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.


• Oversee the IT budget, manage costs related to IT services, and ensure cost effective solutions are in place.


• Regularly monitor system health and security status and generate reports for senior management on performance and security.


• Collaborate with other departments to align IT initiatives with overall business needs and improve cross-functional operations.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in IT operations and security management, with a demonstrable track record of success.


• Experience managing cloud-based IT environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or similar).


• Experience with SaaS applications and ERP systems is an added advantage.


• Experience implementing and managing IT security programs.


• Experience leading and managing IT teams.


• CompTIA Security + or ISC2 CC, CCNA, CCNP, CISA, CISSP, are added advantage. Technical Skills:


• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.


• Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Azure, and Intune and Entra.


• Experience with security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint detection and response, etc.).


• Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations.


• Experience with IT project management methodologies.


• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools is a plus.
