JOB OBJECTIVE:




  • Coordinate Electrical supervisor and all technicians for smooth day to day running of electrical installations across the site.

  • Manage Electrical design and installation during project execution.

  • Monitor performances of electrical systems and recommend improvements.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Manage Electrical design and installation during project execution.

  • Provide engineering support to operations and maintenances of power distribution systems.

  • Monitor performances of electrical systems and recommend improvements.

  • Analyze system failures and suggest appropriate resolutions.

  • Propose cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high efficiency of electrical transmission and distribution systems.

  • Work with the manager in planning and executing assigned electrical distribution projects within deadlines and budgets.

  • Identify and notify Electrical safety concerns to management promptly.

  • Maintain documentations of all engineering tasks performed for future reference purposes.

  • Perform periodic maintenance on MV/LV switch gears and distribution panels within the facility.

  • Perform periodic maintenance on Fire alarm system and fire suppression system.

  • Support the maintenance team as requested in areas of own specialty, including drafting working procedures, maintenance programmes, and providing associated logistic support.

  • Develop maintenance methods tools in own area of competence, analyses the works and practices, and suggests ways of optimization.

  • Perform technical studies in his field of competence as instructed in view of improving performance or upgrading the facilities.

  • Follow-up the technical problems raised, follow-up the technical and contractual files, as instructed, follow up the warranty claims and the implementation of the corrective actions.

  • Perform equipment performance analysis; develop and put in place enhanced condition monitoring programmes.

  • Provide assistance and logistic support as required for the provision of resources such as vendors, additional manpower, services, tools, spare parts, and other materials.

  • Follow-up the spare parts, report anomalies and initiate suitable action in order to prevent shortage.

  • Ensure the total compliance with technical Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Ensure proper maintenance culture, safety of machineries and personnel, as well as good house-keeping.

  • Give technical support to other units within the technical projects department as may be assigned by his line Manager.

  • Carry out other functions as may be assigned by his line Manager



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE




  • Must Possess HND or B.Sc in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.

  • A diploma in project Management is an added advantage.

  • Must have at least 5 years post qualification experience working on electrical installations



KNOWLEDGE




  • Proficient in trouble shooting of mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Must be able to diagnose and resolve problems on industrial machinery and Utility, Chillers, Boilers, Compressors, Motors, etc

  • Must be familiar with PLC programs like Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron
