Job Summary
- The Temenos T24 Core Banking Systems Administrator will be responsible for the overall administration, maintenance, and support of the Temenos T24 core banking system.
- This role ensures the system's availability, performance, security, and integrity, enabling the bank to deliver seamless and efficient banking services.
- The administrator works closely with other IT teams, business units, and the vendor to maintain a stable and optimized T24 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain the Temenos T24 core banking system, including its various modules and interfaces.
- Troubleshoot and resolve T24 system issues, including transaction failures, performance degradation, and user access problems.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security profiles within T24.
- Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks, taking corrective actions to optimize performance and ensure high availability.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and enhancements to the T24 system in a controlled and timely manner, minimizing downtime.
- Manage and maintain the T24 database, including performance tuning, data integrity checks, and space management.
- Administer and maintain interfaces between T24 and other systems, such as payment gateways, ATMs, and loan management systems.
- Manage and maintain the T24 development, testing, and production environments.
- Manage and maintain the T24 reporting and analytics tools.
- Participate in the change management process, ensuring that all changes to the T24 system are properly tested and implemented.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the T24 system from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on the T24 system architecture, configuration, and operation.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Temenos T24 Systems Administrator, preferably in a banking environment.
- Deep understanding of Temenos T24 architecture, modules, and functionalities.
- Strong technical skills in operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows), databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server), and middleware.
- Experience with T24 installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of T24 security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Temenos T24 certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., shell scripting, Python).
