Job Summary




  • The Junior Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring the conformity of raw materials and manufactured products to established specifications.

  • This involves performing quality control tests, managing samples, handling non-conformities, resolving customer claims, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the quality management system.



Responsibilities




  • Quality control of raw materials, incoming bases, and products manufactured by third parties.

  • Quality control of finished flavors/fragrances.

  • Storage, management, and control of samples of raw materials and manufactured products.

  • Filing and management of raw material non-conformities.

  • Management and resolution of customer claims related to the quality of finished flavors/fragrances.

  • Organoleptic control of raw materials and final products.

  • Control and monitoring of procedures and processes within the department.

  • Management and sending of samples to external laboratories.

  • Review of production parts and associated records.

  • Management of records and documents related to quality control activities.

  • Monitoring and support of the HACCP Plan.

  • Contribution to the effectiveness of the quality and food safety management systems.

  • Understanding and adherence to the company's quality and food safety policies.

  • Awareness of departmental quality and food safety risks and objectives.

  • Reporting of identified problems related to the QMS/FSMS.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the QHSE Manager.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar quality control role.

  • Experience in the flavor and fragrance (perfume industry), beverage industry, or FMCG is required.

  • Knowledge of quality control methods.

  • Basic understanding of QMS and FSSC 22000 requirements.

  • Proficiency in computer tools and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
