Job Description

• The Loan Credit Specialist is responsible for evaluating and analyzing loan applications, credit reports, and financial statements to determine creditworthiness and make informed lending decisions. 


• This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Loan Application Review: Evaluate loan applications, credit reports, and financial statements to determine creditworthiness.


• Credit Analysis: Analyze credit data, income, employment history, and other factors to assess the borrower's ability to repay the loan.


• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and mitigating factors, such as collateral, credit history, and debt-to-income ratio.


• Credit Decisioning: Make informed credit decisions, approving or declining loan applications, and providing recommendations for loan terms and conditions.


• Loan Structuring: Structure loan agreements, including interest rates, repayment terms, and fees, to ensure alignment with the lender's policies and risk appetite.


• Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and lender policies.


• Customer Communication: Communicate credit decisions and loan terms to borrowers, providing clear explanations and guidance.


• Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the loan portfolio, identifying trends, and recommending strategies to minimize risk and maximize returns.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.


• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or related field.


• Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CRC (Certified Risk Compliance) will be an added advantage.
