Job Description

• We seeking to hire a highly strategic and dedicated Managing director to join its dynamic team and contribute to its commitment to excellence.


• The Managing Director will oversee all aspects of business operations, people management, products, and resource optimization.


• The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of driving the organisation towards sustainable growth and profitability while effectively advancing its vision, mission, and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Driving business development and ensure the achievement of profitability goals as approved by the Board.


• Overseeing loan portfolio performance, ensuring non-performing loans are within acceptable limits.


• Mobilizing deposits to ensure liquidity and drive staff efforts in deposit generation.


• Overseeing the implementation of a robust risk management framework.


• Optimizing funding utilization while considering associated risks.


• Monitoring employee performance relative to set targets and provide guidance for improvement where necessary.


• Ensuring compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations, maintaining all standard ratios and acceptable PAR thresholds.


• Reviewing financial systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance.


• Developing long-term financial sustainability plans and monitor budget performance against actual outcomes.


• Drafting and executing a strategic plan in collaboration with senior management.


• Leading daily operations and align activities with organizational goals and Board policies.


• Managing employee performance and foster a positive organizational culture.


• Presenting comprehensive quarterly reports to the Board of Directors, covering all business and product aspects.


• Serving as the key point of contact for Board-level and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field.


• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the Commercial banking and Microfinance Sector.


• Proven experience as a Managing Director.


• Relevant Master’s degree or Professional qualification will be an added advantage.


• Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans.


• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.


• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
