Job Purpose

• As a driver, you are responsible for driving a variety of company vehicles and safely transporting various items, equipment or tools to and fro specified locations promptly.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to carry out the following functions:

• Driving a variety of company vehicles including, cars, buses, trucks, etc either automatic or manual transmission in a very safe manner


• Safely transporting company staff as well as various items, equipment, or tools to and fro specified locations promptly


• Keeping the company vehicles clean and properly maintained by regularly washing and cleaning the exterior and interior.


• Ensuring all vehicle documentation is up to date


• Carrying out daily vehicle maintenance checks and ensuring the vehicles have sufficient fuel and are always ready for use


• Assisting with loading and offloading of items, equipment, or tools from company vehicles and providing support on the work sites when needed


• Ensure company vehicles are parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing


• Always obeying traffic rules and constantly checking vehicle documents to be sure they are valid at all times


• Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s going out and coming in and signing logbook register for taking and returning vehicle keys.


• Prompt reporting of any accident, injury and vehicle damage to the manager for necessary actions


• Working extra hours on weekday, weekend, or public holiday whenever it is necessary to do so


• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules by being able to reroute in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion.
