The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing and supplier relationships for our retail operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with retail business objectives
Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store management to forecast purchasing needs
Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Coordinate with the accounting department for budget alignment and payment processing
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain quality standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
3+ years of procurement experience in retail environment
Proven track record of vendor management and negotiation
Strong understanding of retail inventory management
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
