The Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of retail operations, ensuring accurate reporting, analysis, and compliance while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable
Reconcile store sales, cash handling, and bank deposits
Process and verify expense reports and purchase orders
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Monitor and analyze retail-specific KPIs and metrics
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Coordinate with the procurement team for vendor payments
Manage payroll processing and related tax requirements
Support during audits and tax preparation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience in retail environment
Strong knowledge of retail accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software and POS systems
Experience with financial reporting and analysis
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
