Objectives of this Role:




  1. Assist in maintaining financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

  2. Support in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.

  3. Assist in the reconciliation of financial discrepancies and assist with audits.

  4. Assist the senior accounts team in day-to-day financial operations.

  5. Learn and apply accounting procedures, policies, and best practices in the organization.



Responsibilities:




  1. Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for the company.

  2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in compliance with company policies.

  3. Prepare bank reconciliations and assist in cash flow management.

  4. Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  5. Assist in tracking and managing company budgets.

  6. Help with the preparation of tax-related documents and liaise with auditors.

  7. Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

  8. Analyze and verify financial data, resolving discrepancies as they arise.

  9. Assist in managing and processing payroll and other financial duties as required.

  10. Support the senior accounting team with other financial and administrative tasks as needed.



Preferred Skills:




  1. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.

  2. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  3. Ability to work effectively with numbers and financial data.

  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  5. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

  7. Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.

  8. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.



Preferred Qualifications:




  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.

  2. Strong academic background with a minimum of Second-Class Upper-division.

  3. No prior work experience is required. This position is for fresh accounts graduates.

  4. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.

  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

  6. A keen interest in developing a career in accounting and finance.
