The Role
We are looking for an experienced Passionate, self-driven, committed business development professional. The ideal candidate must be ambitious and energetic to drive products, services and lead initiatives. This position will be responsible for growing the revenue by building a robust HNI and identifying OEMS with unique products that fit into our catalogs.
Job Description
- Develop, document, and implement a process for identifying, engaging with relevant OEMs and onboarding products that fit our product portfolio criteria.
- Identify and onboard relevant HNIs for business growth and expansion
- Identify and build partnership opportunities in an effort to grow business and help the company expand.
- Develop new sales areas to improve sales and business through various methods
- Research the latest in the business industry and create new opportunities to expand business
- Carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes, foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
- Continuously engage and work with OEMs and trading partners with underperforming products in our portfolio to grow the visibility of the products within their target markets.
- Build business development plans containing product strategy, go-to-market plans, price & product positioning for each of the products within the product portfolio.
- Establish a systematic business-scouting plan with the purpose of identifying new market opportunities and programs to capture key demographics.
- Persistent in completing what needs to get done and driving relationships
- Continually plan and oversee new marketing initiatives by working with RPM's marketing unit to develop and manage all publicity and awareness programs that will aid the adoption of the company's product.
- Conduct market research, develop research activity plan and coordinate activities.
- Own the achievement of the revenue targets of the Business via personal sales, through the sales engineering team, sales outlets and sales partnerships.
- Deep understanding of customer experience, ability to identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas that drive growth,
- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy
- Build and improve relationships with customers, key suppliers and partners.
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and recommend ways of improving client satisfaction.
- Oversee customer relationship management system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related course
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in business development
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
- Independent, resourceful, and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to identify and onboard HNI will be an added advantage
- Results-oriented, customer-focused, Self-motivated, analytical, and a team player with a serious commitment to excellence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to plan, set goals, promote and improve service delivery
