Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate deeds of assignment, contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Provide legal advice on property acquisitions, leasing, and sales.
- Ensure compliance with real estate laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage disputes and litigation, and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Conduct due diligence on property titles and legal ownership.
- Assist in developing and implementing risk management strategies.
- Monitor and advise on changes in property laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and a valid license (call to bar) to practice law in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal practice after call to bar, preferably in real estate or property law.
- Strong knowledge of property laws, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
