Description




  • The Contracts and Materials Expediter will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the timely flow of materials and supplies required to meet scheduled project timelines.  This role plays a key part in maintaining project schedules by ensuring procured materials are delivered on time and meeting defined quality.



Key Accountabilities




  • Expedite orders and monitor the delivery of materials, ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet project requirements.

  • Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams (Procurement, Production Operations, Facilities, Well Engineering and Materials Management) to address and resolve any material shortages or delays.

  • Communicate with suppliers and carriers regarding shipment schedules, delays, and adjustments to ensure minimal disruption to operations and projects.

  • Review project schedules and monitor the movement of materials to ensure alignment with planned timelines.

  • Maintain detailed records of material orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.

  • Provide regular status updates on material deliveries to relevant stakeholders and management.

  • Help resolve issues related to damaged or defective materials and coordinate with suppliers for returns or replacements.

  • Support with minor procurement with the C&P team



Requirements




  • BSc Degree in Engineering, Business Administration and Management or with an emphasis on Supply Chain and Operations Management.

  • Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience in an oil servicing or producing company.  Position requires specific experience related to Oil and Gas materials or logistics coordination role.

  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of the specified requirements.
