Job Summary
As the safety coordinator, you will be responsible for promoting a safety-first culture on our construction sites. This position requires collaboration with project managers and site personnel to implement effective safety measures, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs that align with industry standards and company policies.
- Identify potential hazards and evaluate risks, recommending and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Design and conduct safety training programs for employees and contractors, focusing on hazard recognition, accident prevention, and emergency response.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, equipment, and personnel to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in safety management, ideally within the construction industry.
- National Industrial Safety and Health with NISP Level 3 certification and NEBOSH certification is required.
- First Aid Certification is an advantage.
