Job Description
The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, and ensuring project execution as per approved drawings, quality standards, and timelines. The role requires strong technical knowledge, site management skills, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management & Supervision
- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor the progress of construction work and prepare progress reports.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution of work.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations at the site.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Conduct site inspections to ensure the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Ensure adherence to construction quality standards and rectify any deviations.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team for material testing and certification.
Project Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with architects, consultants, and project managers to ensure smooth execution.
- Attend site meetings, provide technical inputs, and resolve on-site issues.
- Maintain clear communication with the procurement team for material requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site reports, labor attendance records, and material usage logs.
- Ensure proper documentation of site activities, work permits, and approvals.
- Assist in preparing project schedules and track progress against timelines.
Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor resource utilization and minimize material wastage.
- Verify contractor bills and work orders as per actual site progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 years in real estate construction projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments).
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, structural work, finishing, and MEP coordination
- Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project or Primavera.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other design review tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is an added advantage
- Safety Certifications (OSHA, NEBOSH) – an added advantage.
