Job Summary




  • The Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems used in manufacturing and quality control processes at First Blends Limited.

  • The role ensures that all process automation and instrumentation systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.



Key Responsibilities




  • Instrumentation Design & Maintenance: Install, calibrate, test, and maintain process control instruments, including sensors, controllers, and automated systems.

  • Process Automation: Develop and optimize control systems for manufacturing operations, ensuring precision in blending and production processes.

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose faults in instrumentation systems, recommend solutions, and implement repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with industry regulations (ISO, HACCP, and HALAL certifications) and safety standards.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor system performance, analyze data trends, and provide reports to improve process efficiency and product quality.

  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

  • Supplier & Vendor Coordination: Liaise with equipment suppliers for procurement, installation, and servicing of instrumentation components.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in instrumentation engineering within a manufacturing or food processing environment.

  • Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, and automation systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and electronic control systems.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and process flow diagrams.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience in the food production, milling, or chemical manufacturing industries.

  • Certification in instrumentation or automation (e.g., ISA, NI, or equivalent).
