We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing plant.
As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process at our diaper and sanitary products manufacturing facility.
You will lead and manage plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, leadership, and process optimization, with specific experience in the production of hygiene products.
Responsibilities
Leads and coordinates all production activities with engineering and materials.
Responsible for overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule.
Ensuring that production is cost-effective.
Make sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
Working out the human and material resources needed.
Drafting a timescale for the job.
Estimating costs and setting the quality standards.
Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
Responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment.
Ensure that quality control standards are met for all manufactured products, including regular audits, testing, and inspections.
Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed by complying with Company policies and procedures
Report daily, weekly, and monthly on plant performance and activities including key performance indicators (KPIs), production results, safety, and quality metrics to senior management.
Consistently supervising and motivating a team of workers to deliver high-quality services to the business.
Reviewing worker performance and identifying training needs to empower the production teams to take responsibility for their work processes and improvement plans, to be fully autonomous to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targets are achieved.
Follow Hazardous Waste, General Waste and Recycled Waste management and Disposal procedures.
The development and communication of clear project scopes to compliment the plant continuous improvement methodology and meet new product development timings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or any other related course
Minimum of 2-3 Years’ experience in the FMCG Industry preferably in Hygiene & Personal Care or Food & Beverage
Proven experience and ability to manage people, processes, and technology.
Aware of Health and Safety standards and their implications in the workplace.
Experience with diaper/Sanitary Pad will be an added advantage.
Have proven leadership skills, and will lead by example, demonstrating high standards of behavior, honesty and integrity.
Extensive experience of Microsoft Office.
Candidates must reside in Ibeju-lekki or be open to relocation.
