Job Summary




  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Development Officer with solid hospitality marketing experience to join our restaurant and bar team.

  • This role is based in Victoria Island, and Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria, with a competitive salary and bonuses. Accommodation will be provided.



Responsibilities

Market Research and Analysis:




  • Conduct research to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.

  • Analyze customer feedback and industry data to identify new opportunities for growth.



Sales and Revenue Generation:




  • Develop strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

  • Promote the restaurant's services, including dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering options.



Client Relationship Management:




  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other stakeholders.

  • Respond to inquiries and negotiate contracts for group bookings and events.



Marketing and Branding:




  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, discounts, and loyalty programs.

  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and community involvement to enhance brand visibility.



Business Strategy Development:




  • Work with management to set sales and growth targets for the restaurant.

  • Create action plans to achieve business goals and track progress.



Operational Support:




  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth execution of events or promotions.

  • Provide insights into customer preferences to improve menu offerings and services.



Networking and Community Engagement:




  • Represent the restaurant at industry events, trade shows, and local business meetings.

  • Build a network of contacts to generate referrals and partnerships.



Performance Monitoring:




  • Prepare regular reports on sales, customer acquisition, and business development activities.

  • Evaluate the success of campaigns and initiatives and recommend adjustments.



Customer Experience Improvement:




  • Work closely with the customer service team to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve the overall dining experience.

  • Innovation:

  • Identify and implement new trends in the restaurant industry, such as technology adoption or menu innovations.



Skills and Requirements for Business Development Officer in a Restaurant

Educational Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • Certification in Sales or Marketing is an added advantage.
