We are seeking a talented and skilled IT Support Intern to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible in providing technical assistance to employees; helps maintain IT Infrastructures and gains hands-on-experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build a foundation in IT Support, system administration, and Cybersecurity in the payment and banking industry.



Summary of responsibilities



Technical Support & Troubleshooting




  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Provide helpdesk support via email, phone, or in-person for employees.

  • Set up and configure computers, printers, and peripherals.



System Maintenance & Updates




  • Install, update, and configure software, operating systems, and security patches.

  • Help maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud storage, and databases.

  • Assist in managing user accounts and access permissions.



Network & Security Assistance




  • Support Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN troubleshooting.

  • Assist with firewall, antivirus, and cybersecurity measures.

  • Follow IT security best practices to protect sensitive data.



IT Documentation & Reporting




  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets (laptops, monitors, accessories, etc.).

  • Document common technical issues and their resolutions.

  • Assist in creating guides and training materials for employees.



Learning & Collaboration




  • Gain hands-on experience with enterprise IT tools, cloud platforms, and ticketing systems.

  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on projects and system upgrades.

  • Stay updated with latest IT trends and best practices.



Requirements




  • 0-1 year of experience in IT support and system configurations

  • Currently pursuing or a recent graduate in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 

  • Eager to learn new technologies and IT best practices

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic IT issues (hardware, software, and connectivity)

  • Understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar IT tools.

  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash or Python )

  • Strong problem-solving, communication skills and, teamwork skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

  • Strong Analytical skills to identify technical problems and solutions
