Job Description



Our client is a synergistic company that brings to fore their joint capabilities to specialize in - plantation management, out growers management, chemicals & polymers, and farmer support to name a few for Extra Neutral Alcohol ( ENA) production from an owned cassava plantation.  Due to expansion, they are in need of a Chief Security Officer.


Location; Edo State.




Job Responsibilities.



  • The candidate will be responsible for the security management of the organization, by using his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities to set the goals and objectives that will ensure the efficient protection of the organization’s people, resources and assets.

  • Preparing daily incident reports, requisitions and other inter office memos and ensure that all allegations of the crime and other incidents are investigated and properly recorded

  • Will act as an advisor in security matters and must foster a culture of security importance throughout the organization.

  • Supervise and co-ordinate all security operatives

  • Ensure security within the organization's premises is maintained and updated

  • Advise security team and conduct investigations of significant threats and loss or misappropriation of assets

  • Conduct frequent security audits to identify potential problems related to physical security, staff safety and asset protection

  • Create procedures for identifying and tracking threatening or fraudulent activities within the organization

  • Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to maximize coverage of parking lots and building interior and exterior

  • Work independently and collaboratively to resolve urgent issues to protect lives and property

  • Establish crisis management and contingency planning

  • Maintain relationships with the Nigerian police, Military, TaskForce and other related government agencies; and investigate all security breaches

  • Maintain and update Security Operations Manual for use by all security personnel

  • Draw up annual security department budget and participate in periodic reviews on-budget performance

  • Develop policies and protocols for securing and protecting sensitive information

  • Ensure security staff is supervised and ensures they discharge their duties effectively.

  • Assign personnel to effectively cover key locations to prevent security breaches

  • People Development & Team Management

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team

  • The ability to collaborate and build consensus across departments and among stake holders.


Job Requirement.



  • Minimum of Bsc degree.

  • 8 -15years relevant experience

  • Goods knowledge and use of Microsoft Office packages & ERP systems

  • Commitment to self-learning and continuous skill and professional knowledge development.
