General Description




  • The Studio Technician is responsible for the technical setup, operation, and maintenance of the studio equipment and facilities. 

  • This includes ensuring the smooth running of all studio operations, providing technical support to production teams, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.



Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Setup and Operation:




  • Set up and operate audio and video recording equipment, including cameras, microphones, mixers, lighting, and other studio equipment.

  • Operate control boards and other technical systems.

  • Ensure proper sound levels, lighting, and camera angles.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide prompt solutions.



Studio Maintenance:




  • Perform routine maintenance checks on studio equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment malfunctions.

  • Maintain a clean and organized studio environment.

  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of studio equipment.



Production Support:




  • Provide technical support to production teams during recording sessions.

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for productions.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.



Other Duties:




  • Assist with inventory management of studio equipment.

  • Participate in equipment training and professional development.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • To ensure our image and value proposition across all materials and presentations



Qualifications




  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Audio Engineering, Video Production, Marketing, Social Science or related field (advanced degree preferred)

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the design, as a studio technician management, communications strategy or in a related field.

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of audio/video equipment and technology.

  • Proficient in the use of industry-standard software (e.g., audio editing software, video editing software).

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.



Added Demands:




  • Ability to lift and move equipment (may require occasional heavy lifting).

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.



Technology Capabiliity:




  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud preferred

  • Canva

  • HubSpot preferred

  • Good Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and experience with WordPress preferred.
