- Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of engineering solutions for the projects on the asset, within the assigned discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Process, Electrical, or Instrumentation).
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary efforts to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with team members on constructability and design issues and monitor the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at jobsites.
- Responsible for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting, and ensures the implementation of project environmental control plan(s) as required.
- Support as required the design of temporary construction facilities, preparation of cost estimates for construction activities and coordinates the preparation of cost reports, forecast and progress reports.
- Review and provide input to project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule, and material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
- Develop project construction procedures.
- Plan and recommend procedures to be implemented by construction contractors to ensure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of construction engineering records for job history.
- Implement controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials, and equipment.
- Provides input to the project staffing plan for construction engineers and associated personnel.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to management and stakeholders.
- Champion HSE best practices within engineering operations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure safe working conditions during projects.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field). A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., COREN, NSE, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
