Monthly Gross Remuneration: N130,000



Our client, a 360-degree Marketing Consult, Support, Strategy development and Business solutions company, is seeking to hire a driven and eager-to-learn Accountant Trainee to join its team. 



The role holder will be a team member in the finance unit and provide support to the Finance department by preparing financial statements, reporting, managing daily accounting and ensuring transparency for the company’s finances.



Job Responsibilities:




  • Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. 

  • Updating accounts receivable and issue invoices.

  • Updating accounts payable and perform reconciliations. 

  • Assisting in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements.

  • Assisting with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. 

  • Updating financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.

  • Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports. 

  • Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings. 

  • Assisting with other accounting projects.

  • Ability to be strategic and give input on financial metrics that can aid business growth. 



Person Specification:




  • A bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field from any recognised Institution (Minimum Second Class Lower, 2:1). 

  • 0-1 year of experience (internship experience is a plus). 

  • Proven experience in Taxation or related tax services is a plus.

  • ACCA / relevant certification or On-going. 

  • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.

  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practice.

  • Great attention to detail.
