Position Overview




  • The Senior Business Development Manager (B2B) at is responsible for spearheading high-value business growth within Nigeria's oil & gas, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. This role demands an experienced professional with an extensive network in International Oil Companies (IOCs), National Oil Companies (NOCs), and top manufacturing firms.

  • The ideal candidate must possess a proven ability to secure high-value contracts, manage key accounts, and establish strategic partnerships to expand the company’s market share in the PPE and safety footwear industry.



Key Responsibilities



Strategic Business Development & Partnerships




  • Identify, pursue, and secure high-value contracts with IOCs, NOCs, large-scale manufacturing firms, and industrial companies.

  • Develop and execute a robust commercial strategy to penetrate and expand company’s market presence within the PPE and safety footwear sector.

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at C-suite and procurement levels, ensuring long-term business engagements.

  • Actively seek out major oil & gas projects in Nigeria, particularly those where imported safety boots are being used, and position company as the preferred local content alternative

  • Drive strategic partnerships with major PPE distributors in the oil & gas and manufacturing sectors to increase company’s distribution channels.



Revenue Growth & Sales Leadership




  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets by securing large-scale contracts and high-value deal

  • Lead complex contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for company while maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Work closely with the finance team to structure competitive pricing models, invoice financing solutions, and seamless transaction processes.

  • Ensure the successful conversion of leads from industry events into long-term accounts and revenue-generating clients.



Market Expansion & Distributorship Management




  • Develop and manage a robust nationwide distributorship network, ensuring efficient product distribution and market penetration.

  • Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with key PPE distributors and bulk buyers within Nigeria’s oil & gas and manufacturing industries.

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitor intelligence, and industry trend tracking to optimize Company’s positioning and sales strategies.

  • Strengthen after-sales support and customer relationship management to drive repeat business and client satisfaction.



Industry Engagement & Networking




  • Source and attend oil & gas and manufacturing industry events, exhibitions, trade shows, and networking functions to build strategic relationships and drive business development efforts.

  • Leverage formal and casual networking opportunities to connect with key stakeholders and reinforce company’s brand presence.

  • Gain insider knowledge on upcoming industrial projects and procurement cycles to position company for early contract consideration.



Key Account Management & Relationship Development




  • Create and manage key accounts by developing structured engagement plans that drive client satisfaction and retention.

  • Establish direct communication channels with major clients, ensuring smooth transactions and quick resolution of any business concerns.

  • Position Company as the go-to supplier for safety footwear by fostering strong, trust-based relationships with industry leaders.



Travel & Availability




  • Be available to travel nationwide and internationally as needed to close business deals and explore new market opportunities.

  • Flexibility to work on weekends to attend key industry events, trade shows, and client meetings that align with business growth objectives.



Qualifications & Experience




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of B2B business development experience, preferably in PPE, industrial safety equipment, or manufacturing.

  • Established contacts and access to key decision-makers in IOCs, NOCs, and top manufacturing companies.

  • Proven ability to secure and manage large-scale contracts and drive exponential business growth.

  • Strong negotiation, strategic planning, and relationship management skills.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing a nationwide distributorship network.

  • Excellent market intelligence and ability to track and identify high-value industry opportunities.

  • Availability to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including weekends.
