Job Summary




  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Account Officer to join our Finance Department. 

  • The successful candidate will manage the school's financial records, handle day-to-day accounting activities, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. 

  • The Account Officer will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial statements, budgeting, and reporting.



Key Responsibilities




  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.

  • Prepare and process invoices and receipts.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.

  • Monitor school fees collection and ensure timely payments.

  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.

  • Assist with the preparation of the school’s annual budget.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and submit tax returns when due.

  • Assist with the audit process and prepare necessary documentation.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes are efficient and well-maintained.

  • Provide financial advice and guidance to school management.



Qualifications and Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • A minimum of [X] years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an educational setting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel).

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
