Job Summary




  • We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Nursery School Teacher to join our infant school team. 

  • The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from an A-list university, have EYFS training, and possess extensive experience in early childhood teaching.

  • Additionally, applicants must be TRCN-certified and have completed Jolly Phonics training from an accredited trainer.



Responsibilities




  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

  • Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

  • Utilize Jolly Phonics and other literacy-building techniques to support early reading and language development.

  • Conduct individualized assessments to track each child’s progress and tailor learning experiences to meet their unique needs.

  • Implement play-based and interactive learning to foster creativity and a love for learning.

  • Encourage social interaction, independence, and problem-solving skills among students.

  • Provide regular feedback and progress reports to parents, maintaining open and professional communication.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop lesson plans and incorporate best teaching practices.

  • Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, behavior, and learning progress.

  • Ensure classroom discipline, safety, and hygiene standards are met at all times.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an A-list university (mandatory).

  • Certification in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) training.

  • TRCN registration (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria).

  • Jolly Phonics certification from an accredited trainer.

  • 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience teaching in a nursery or early childhood setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage children, parents, and colleagues.

  • Excellent organizational skills, creativity, and a deep passion for early childhood education.

  • Ability to design engaging lessons, incorporate best teaching practices, and adapt methods to suit individual child needs.
