Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Implementation of project procurement requirements/plans & schedule
- Materials/ equipment budgeting & cost analysis
- Implementing project management procedures as regards procurement, material inspection, handling, packing, transportation, material receipt, control and audit. subcontracts
- Assist in registration and audit assessment of vendors & subcontractors
- Reviews of commercial evaluation of bids
- Raise purchase orders and letters of intent
- Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred to another location.
- Prepare POs promptly to the commercially preferred bidder, ensuring the most appropriate delivery schedule and cost.
- Support the Contracts and Procurement Manager in ensuring a robust procurement and vendor management system to support the strategic objectives of the Organization.
- Develop ethical relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve procurement activities and reaction time.
- Provide periodic reporting for assigned purchase requests and their status.
- Conducting bid clarification meetings with vendors/ subcontractors
- Assist in materials importation, import documentations, clearing and freight forwarding.
- Prepares and updates materials purchase schedule,
- Maintain the procurement and expediting tracking sheet.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- 4 - 6 years of Relevant Industry Experience
- Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high standard of consistency, accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage interface both internally and externally with Clients, Consultants, Sub-contractors and Partners.
- Reporting and Presentation Skills to professional Standard.
- Fair knowledge of the oil and gas down and upstream sector.
- Self-starter, results-driven and focused on delivery of quality deliverables on time and within budget.
- Good communication skills – Excellent ability to communicate across project teams to gain an understanding of PR requirements.
