Job Summary
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Account Officer to manage day-to-day financial operations at our Service Centre.
- This role requires someone with strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and above all, high levels of integrity and accountability.
- The ideal candidate will have mid to senior-level experience in accounting functions and will be responsible for managing transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial records at the service location.
Responsibilities
- Manage all financial transactions at the service centre, including customer payments, invoicing, petty cash, and banking.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collections, sales, and expenditures.
- Reconcile cash, bank, and inventory records with internal systems and report discrepancies.
- Support stock and inventory management by ensuring alignment between physical and system records.
- Collaborate with the central Finance team to ensure timely remittance of funds and compliance with audit requirements.
- Ensure all transactions are properly documented and supported by relevant approvals and receipts.
- Act as the first point of contact for financial matters within the service centre.
- Uphold and model the company’s values, particularly in maintaining confidentiality, transparency, and ethical financial practices.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience.
- Relevant experience in a similar industry will be an added advantage.
Skills Requirements:
- Proven experience with cash handling, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and accountability in previous roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
