Job Responsibilities




  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients for a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses.

  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and laboratory results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.

  • Provide expert consultations, refer patients to specialists or higher-level medical care when necessary, and coordinate patient management.

  • Review and update patients' medical histories, current symptoms, and relevant clinical information to guide accurate diagnosis and treatment.

  • Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, or treatments appropriate to patients’ conditions.

  • Monitor patient progress after treatment or diagnostic procedures, ensuring proper recovery and ongoing care.

  • Provide emergency care and stabilize patients in urgent situations before referral or transfer to hospitals.

  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, and lifestyle adjustments.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee the performance of nursing and support staff to ensure adherence to protocols and quality patient care.

  • Work closely with radiologists and lab scientists to ensure timely and accurate test results.

  • Participate in community health programs or initiatives to promote the clinic's services and foster public health awareness.

  • Prepare and submit reports on clinical activities, patient outcomes, and resource utilization to management.

  • Work with the customer service department to manage patient schedules, reduce wait times, and optimize clinic workflow.



Job Requirements




  • Bachelor Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).

  • Full registration and a current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of clinical experience, preferably in a clinic or diagnostic center setting.

  • Ability to read and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory reports accurately.

  • Strong patient interaction skills, including the ability to explain diagnoses, treatments, and procedures in a clear and compassionate manner.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical software for documenting patient information and accessing diagnostics.

  • Ability to remain calm and focused, especially in emergency situations.

  • Maintaining high standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

  • Precision in maintaining patient records, prescribing medications, and following treatment protocols.

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple responsibilities within the clinic.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
