Job Description




  • The position will be responsible for install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in a construction site environment.

  • The successful candidate will ensure all electrical components and equipment operate safely and efficiently while complying with industry regulations and project specifications.

  • A summary of role’s responsibility is as follows:

  • Install electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels.

  • Connect electrical components to machinery, lighting, and power distribution systems.

  • Ensure proper grounding and bonding of electrical systems.

  • Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in motors, generators, relays, switches, and other industrial equipment.

  • Identify defective components and replace wiring, fuses, or circuit breakers as needed.

  • Ensure all electrical work follows national and local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.

  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to prevent electrical hazards.

  • Report any unsafe practices or equipment malfunctions to the site supervisor.

  • Install and maintain control systems such as PLCs, motor control centers (MCCs), and automated industrial equipment.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Assist in the commissioning and testing of newly installed equipment.

  • Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance logs, and electrical system modifications.

  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
