Job Summary
- The Corporate Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and professional transportation services for Staffand other senior executives when required.
- The role also includes maintaining company vehicles in top condition, ensuring adherence to road safety regulations, and supporting administrative logistics as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Responsibilities:
- Safely transport the staff to and from office meetings, business trips, and personal engagements as required.
- Ensure punctuality and time management in picking up and dropping off the Staff.
- Follow all traffic rules and regulations to ensure a smooth and secure driving experience.
- Plan routes in advance, considering traffic, road conditions, and alternative routes to ensure efficient travel.
- Ensure confidentiality and discretion in handling business and personal matters discussed in the vehicle.
Vehicle Maintenance and Management:
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections for oil levels, brake function, tire pressure, fuel, and cleanliness.
- Schedule and oversee regular vehicle maintenance (e.g., servicing, tire changes, battery checks).
- Ensure the vehicle is always clean and presentable inside and out.
- Report any mechanical issues or repairs required immediately to the management.
- Maintain a logbook for daily mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle servicing records.
Security and Safety Compliance:
- Follow company security protocols when transporting the staffand other executives.
- Ensure the vehicle’s safety equipment (fire extinguisher, spare tire, first-aid kit) is in place and functional at all times.
- Strictly avoid reckless driving, speeding, or engaging in road disputes.
- Monitor and renew the vehicle’s insurance, registration, and roadworthiness certificates when due.
Administrative Support:
- Occasionally assist with courier services, banking transactions, and official document deliveries when required.
- Support administrative errands, such as picking up office supplies or making necessary purchases.
- Keep records of parking fees, toll gate charges, and fuel receipts for financial accountability.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO/GCE) or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as a corporate driver or personal driver for executives.
- A valid driver’s license (Class D or above) and a LASDRI permit (if applicable in your location).
- Proven experience driving high-profile executives in a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of road networks, traffic rules, and alternate routes within the city and beyond.
- Excellent navigation skills using GPS or manual road maps.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and drive safely in high-traffic conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and discretion.
