Job Summary




  • As the Sales Lead, you will drive partnership acquisition and revenue growth, overseeing the business development and sales operations at Migo.

  • Your primary focus will be identifying, onboarding, and managing key partners; including major banks, fintechs, and digital payment platforms who will integrate Migo’s lending solutions into their services.

  • This role is crucial to expanding Migo’s reach by securing high-value partnerships that facilitate loan disbursements through third-party platforms, such as agency banking networks, digital wallets, and mobile money operators.



Responsibilities

Strategic Sales & Business Development:




  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire and integrate banks, fintechs, digital platforms, and payment providers as Migo partners.

  • Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation and relationship management to contract negotiation and closing deals.

  • Identify new market opportunities and design scalable distribution strategies to increase Migo’s loan disbursement volumes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Risk, and Finance) to align Migo’s credit solutions with partner needs and market demand.



Partnership Management & Revenue Growth:




  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with decision-makers at banks, fintechs, and major financial institutions to drive long-term partnerships.

  • Ensure seamless integration of Migo’s lending services into partner platforms by working closely with technical teams.

  • Monitor partner performance, loan uptake, and credit portfolio growth, making data-driven recommendations for optimisation.

  • Negotiate and manage service agreements, revenue-sharing models, and commercial terms with partners.



Market Insights & Competitive Positioning:




  • Stay ahead of industry trends in embedded finance, digital lending, and credit risk assessment.

  • Analyse competitors and emerging technologies to position Migo effectively in the financial services ecosystem.

  • Provide feedback to the Product team to refine and enhance Migo’s credit solutions.



Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:




  • Work closely with Product, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure Migo’s offerings meet partner needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop dashboards and sales performance metrics to track progress and inform strategic decisions.

  • Act as a brand ambassador and promoter of Migo’s mission, representing the company at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings.



Requirements

Education & Certification:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnership management, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services.



Experience & Skills:




  • Existing network within the banking and fintech industry in Nigeria.

  • Experience working in embedded finance, digital lending, or payment technology.

  • Proven track record of securing and scaling B2B partnerships within the financial sector.

  • Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with experience structuring complex agreements.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Understanding of credit risk, loan products, and embedded lending models.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products

  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions

  • Understanding of how to position products against competitors

  • Extensive industry network

  • Ability to identify and exploit new markets for our products.
