Job Summary




  • The client is a leading travel agency seeking an experienced Account Officer to join theirteam.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing theirfinancial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.



Key Responsibilities




  • Financial Transactions: Manage and process financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and monitoring financial performance against these targets.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

  • Audits and Reviews: Assist in preparing for audits and reviews, and responding to auditor queries.

  • Travel Industry Knowledge: Apply knowledge of the travel industry to provide financial insights and support business decisions.



Requirements




  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the travel agency industry.

  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are an added advantage.

  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the travel agency industry, including knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices and regulations.
