Job Summary




  • The Experienced Cashier will be responsible for efficiently and accurately handling transactions and ensuring a smooth and pleasant customer experience.

  • This role requires familiarity with Goonites’ excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.



Key Responsibilities




  • Transaction Management: Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision.

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.

  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Goonite (NG) Hygiene Products to assist customers with their selections, provide recommendations, and promote special offers or promotions.

  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels at the checkout area, ensuring that shelves and displays are stocked and organized.

  • Cash Handling: Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each day. Report any discrepancies to the Manager promptly.

  • Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, loss prevention, and data protection.

  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to achieve goals and improve customer satisfaction.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within the FMCG industry, preferably within the Manufacturing sector.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling. Familiarity with inventory management.

  • Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and managing cash.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
